Improve Fuel Economy
« on: July 31, 2008, 08:52:50 »
Recently had the truck (2.8 Exceed) serviced at XL Auto's Exeter who suggested they fit K&N air filter (Approx £50 but reusable!).

Before fitting was getting around 325 miles per tank of diesel now getting 400 miles! That filter has soon paid for itself !!

The vehicle also pulls much better due to the greater air flow.

Worth a try guys the results have been consistent
If you're not in 4WD it's not worth doing is it?

The filter sits in the existing housing guys - it simply replaces the paper filter wit a metal mesh one which washable and also increases the airflow thru the inlet manifold. No mods required!

Drop Lesley Smith a mail ( sales@filterpower.co.uk )...

It also adds a slightly throaty sound to the engine note too...:D
