Hi to all,
Its been a while since i had a proper play in the mud. Unfortunatly my Shogun with its semi slick AT's and me bog standard suspension let me down a tad. :-[
But Julian was a star, and helped me out pretty much most of the afternoon. Approx rescues (8!) Even the odd tandem rescue was required....twas a bit sticky out there! Thanks Mark, and Danny.

Over all me and my 2 kids had a fantastic time, and i am looking forward to meeting other members of this great club. :)
Get in, Sit down and HANG ON!

Some Pics More to follow

Met up with Nick this morning and we trundled up to Haldon ó waited at the quarry for a while for Daz but he was late (or lost :D ) So we went on down to the site but there was no one there :( after a wait we resigned ourselves to a day of laning all the way back home and then found everyone at the main gate rather than where we were waiting ::)

So paying our pennies we set off down into the play centre, Nick following me but I inadvertently chose a bit of a advanced track instead of a novice one for Nick; but Nick made the most of it demonstrating how his Fronty balances on one front wheel and the opposite rear wheel ó across the track and half way up the higher bank :o :o   Never mind with a bit of instruction we soon got him back on the right track and some colour back in his cheeks ;D ;D

Onwards we went, next stop was the water hole where we watched The Toyota (not a Frontera John ;) ) have a paddle I was just about to give it a try when Daz turned up and promptly got stuck so I went round to rescue him while the Toyota went in from the other direction and got stuck as well to be rescued by the 90.

Back to the water hole ó I went in and paddled about and stalled the engine which didn't want to start with the exhaust full of water ::) Winched out by the Toyota I restarted the engine and turned around for another paddle. Daz then got stuck in a bomb hole and was removed by the Toyota and the 90 in tandem and while everyone was discussing that rescue I disappeared off to do a bit of obstacle laning getting totally muddy inside as well as out ::)

After a spot of lunch we examined the woods ó me managing to straighten out one side of me bull ó and then finishing that section with a run down a muddy rutted track through the trees. At the bottom Nick, at my request, got in with me and I introduced him to the drop off :D He went home soon after that ó but I'm sure he liked it  :o :o ;D ;D ;D

Well our day was coming to an end and so was my clutch :( I managed to get out of the centre ok and back and down the A38 but at South Brent we encountered one hill too many and the clutch burnt out. Makes you glad you invested in a yellow card when that happens :|)
